The Transfem Circle

The Transfem Circle is a friendly Winnipeg meetup for transfemmes to socialize!

Our goal is to help attendees create a deeper and more positive connection with their femininity.

There is no need to reserve a spot, be in a certain place in your transition, nor do you need to present femme (although encouraged!). Feel free to just show up!

What does the group do?

On the Monday meetups, we usually have discussion topics such as:

  • What our experiences were like coming out to friends, family, and strangers
  • Where to buy clothes, shoes, make-up, etc.
  • How to plan hair removal and surgeries
We also do group activities such as movie nights!

On the Friday meetups, we usually play games such as Cards Against Humanity, although some people go off to their own corner to talk freely. You choose!

Community Resources

  • Trans Health Klinic — Klinic Community Health is an organization that provides many health services, including helping you medically transition.
  • RaY Inc. — RaY provides free resources and programs for anyone 29 and under who needs assistance. This includes housing, employment, basic needs, and mental health.
  • Huddle — Huddle is a safe space for youth ages 12–29, offering free, trauma-informed and culturally safe health services in a youth-friendly atmosphere.
  • Voice Resources - Salix's Blog — Willow, a local community member, talks about voice feminization in a way that's easy to understand, and fun to practice.
  • Transforming Styles — Transforming Style provides cost-free support, beauty & styling services and wardrobe to 2SLGBTQIA+ community members in Canada who face barriers to access.
